Community Progress
February 1, 2016 - 1 minute readACCES is very pleased to report that all seven communities participating in our capacity building programs over the last two years have graduated a full year ahead of schedule! Not only have the schools continued on with initiatives like the 4K clubs, school gardens, agri-business and literacy trainings for adults, but three of them have successfully applied for and received funds from their constituency for building much needed new classrooms – all on their own.
Individual community members that participated in the trainings have also been adopting the agricultural techniques in large numbers, and many have significantly increased their incomes. These communities are well on their way to self-sufficiency, and are sharing their knowledge with others.
This is community development in action! ACCES is proud of these communities for embracing change.
